Maura Duignan began practicing Bikram yoga in February 2009. After years of running competitively and playing soccer, Maura began suffering from right hip injuries following her running in the New York City Marathon in 2008. She was looking for a solution to help her and stumbled upon Bikram yoga. She quickly became a dedicated yogi and continues to appreciate the physical, mental and emotional challenge it provides on a daily basis. Maura completed training in spring 2012 and now teaches at Bikram NYC where she took her first Bikram class. Bikram yoga helps keep balance in her life and she is very thankful for her job teaching. Maura receives inspiration from her students every class and loves being part of the Bikram community.
